silk screen printing lab: a green gecko social enterprise
REBAVA is proud to offer our students the unique opportunity to dabble in the trade of screen printing under the direction of Silk Screen Printing Lab (SSPL) trainees & staff. Not only will students leave Cambodia having supported & learned about the efforts of this awesome social enterprise, they'll also dawn a new REBAVA tee carefully crafted by their own hands. It's a win-win relationship & we love it!
SSPL aims to alleviate poverty by supporting the local community through creative workshops & long term education & training initiatives. This mission is carried out while also meeting the need for a high-quality screen printing service for businesses & organizations in Siem Reap. Absolutely brilliant! They're proud to partner with respected Siem Reap t-shirt company, Route 6 Cambodia, to print their unique locally inspired designs.
When trainees reach a level of competence they are employed to produce t-shirts for Route 6 Cambodia as well as SSPL's local clients. This income is designed to make the project self-sustainable rather than relying solely on donations. This way the project can support itself & grow.
SSPL also provides opportunities for children & young people to learn new skills & express themselves through creative workshops in screen printing & graphic design. Social enterprises like SSPL impact REBAVA students in a big way, inspiring them to think about the unique & positive contributions they want to make towards creating a better world. And REBAVA is honored to connect students with them.
